Lusaka National Park
Lusaka National Park is situated south-east of Lusaka City. It is the 20th National Park in Zambia, created in 2008 and opened to the public in June 2015. It is also the 2nd park established near an urban area after Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park
The park has relatively spectacular landscape and wildlife habitat. So far more than 22 different species of wild ani¬mals totalling over 500 have been introduced in the Park. While on your game drive, you will definitely not miss these among others Zebra, Wildebeest, Eland, Sable, Nyala, and Impala.
On 8th August, 2022, a Wildlife Discovery Centre has been opened at the Lusaka National Park under a partnership between Game Rangers International & the Department of National Parks and Wildlife. The Centre serves as the new home for the Elephants which were previously taken care of at the Lilayi Elephant Nursery
